Are you happy with what we have become?
This is the question I ask you. It is not a question I want you to answer right now. I want you to answer it after 10 minutes of silence: In a state of deep thought at a place away from others. Without lying to yourself. Ask yourself: What is India?
India: The biggest social experiment in the history of human civilization. The most evolutionarily advanced, complex and diverse Nation with differences and varied views all living under one roof. The greatest Country in the world.
Now, take the last 10 years and ask yourself: Are we happier as a society? Are we healthier as a society? Have we obtained the basic rights of living? The right to breathe fresh air. The right to equal opportunities. The right to employment. The right to equality. The right to health. The right to be free and happy. The right to safety.
Have we become a more empathetic society in the last 10 years? Are we able to empathize and see the pain of the alleged “other” in ours? That the biggest trick they played with us was to make us fight for a share of the pie without us ever questioning why the pie was not big enough for all? It was. They just never want you to ask anymore. They just never want you to question anymore. No more questions.
Are you happy with what your child is growing up as & around? The hate and the propaganda. The social media noise that drains our minds and lowers our attention span. They laugh behind closed doors in their political & corporate mansions thinking we are so easy to manipulate.
Ask. Your. Conscience. Choose. Not as a herd of sheep they want you to be but as a responsible and awake Citizen that believes in India.
Think of the collective society: Are you ready to face the trial of history with your stand & ideology? Now, think of the most important responsibility you have as a Citizen: Your Vote.
We stand at a precipice that is also a cross road: Make the right choice. For the idea of India hangs in the balance.
I leave you with your silence, conscience and a suggestion: Choose for the future of India. Choose for a nation you want to see your future generations growing up in. As one.
“With their heads held high and without fear.”
Choose wisely. Vote for India.
-A Citizen of India
