The Train

On a garrulous, endless trip

On a train that has no destination

I had a company of faceless persons

That revealed no names, region & religion

A few did, but chose to not reveal; a few had, but I forget.

My priority was to save my love

My priority was to retain us.

To not fall into my old patterns; not give in to theirs.

I was on the out to save us from these morally, communally corrupted

For the only thing I ever considered holy was us.

The only god I would consider is us.

And now the train has slowed down, and I am about to get off,

I may have to kill a few for us,

And I fear no mortal or death,

I fear losing you,

And yes, the violent and bloody gore was too much to put into words

So, I will skip that part,

But just know I will do whatever it takes to make sure we are never apart

Now the time is ripe, and the world is old to me now,

I want to start anew

And I have plans to get started,

And I cannot wait to tell you all about it.
