“Why, Politics?”

Political astute requires an honest character. Even in a (supposedly & notoriously) manipulative & calculating profession like politics, the ones that go far have a strong value system & belief to serve the people & make a difference. Those that lack that are left behind (serendipity playing a factor too). To really excel in politics, one should know their goals. Veneration, power & wealth are secondary; service towards your values, empathy towards those less privileged, & an incessant pursuit to reach a level where you can serve to your best level. Those that chase that, are eventually, if late, provided with the position & opportunity to serve. Those, that chase power, wealth & have ulterior motives to just benefit their kith & kin, are eventually exposed & shunned off. This “shunning off” is taken by them to be sabotage, while, it is justice. The cream will eventually rise to the top. The spokes on the wheel do change. It is what you do with the opportunity that counts. A strong value system will always take you far. Discipline, empathy, honesty define a woman’s/man’s character.
